Search
Enter a word or phrase in any search form then click the Search Button to perform a comprehensive search for word(s) or phrase(s).
- To search for a single word or phrase simply type that word or phrase into the search field and click on the Search Button.
- Enclose words or phrases that contain punctuation or other special characters in double quotes (e.g., “S&P 500” ).
- Use the AND/OR operators to restrict/broaden your searches. For example, enter futures and markets to find items that contain both the words futures and markets.
- Use futures or markets to find all items that contain either or both words.
- Use the NOT operator to eliminate items from your search. For example, enter futures and not options to find all articles that contain the word futures but not the word options.
- Use the wildcard (*) at the end of a word to find spelling variations; for example, use option* to find any word that begins with the stem option (option, options, optional,…).
You may use these search operators in combination to create arbitrarily complex search queries. If needed, you may use parenthesis to group search terms. For example, enter (call or put) and options to find articles that contain the word options and either the word call or the word put (or both).
Presentation Order
Search results are ordered using an internal relevance score based on the frequency and location of word or phrase matches.
Note: If you simply hit the Search Button without entering anything at all, all items in the collection will be returned.
